Medicare and health fund rebates are available for psychological and mental health services. To be eligible for the rebates, you will need a referral with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Medicare allows up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions a year. NB: You can’t use Medicare and then claim the difference on private health insurance.
