She is a highly qualified mental health care professional, with more than 40 years experience; half of which dealt specifically in the psychological treatment of trauma. Trained in a range of counselling methods and techniques, Martha tailors treatment to your specific needs, developing and teaching strategies to help you heal from trauma. Martha founded Adelaide CBD Psychology, which is conveniently located in Gawler Place, Rundle Mall.

Medicare & Health Fund Rebates Available, with Mental Health Care Plan Referral


Psychologist Martha Landman is exceptionally skilled and trained in a variety of therapies for the resolution of trauma in a safe and confidential environment.

Her Adelaide trauma counselling is tailored to suit your needs and she has experience working with people age 18 and above on a wide range of issues.

Medicare and health fund rebates are available for psychological and mental health services. To be eligible for the rebates, you will need a referral with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. Medicare allows up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions a year. NB: You can’t use Medicare and then claim the difference on private health insurance.


Trauma can be the result of many events and experiences. It develops and manifests in people in a variety of ways, which is why there’s a range of strategies available, to help heal from trauma.

Martha is trained in a diverse array of these therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Brainspotting, Affect Regulation Therapy and The Richards Trauma Process (hypnosis). These therapies achieve fast and lasting results in most cases.

Martha’s commitment is to using best-practice, evidence-based methods that create practical change for her clients.  In addition, she incorporates modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.
